    The D250S Dual is what we call a DC to DC charging system. In this case with dual inputs, one from solar and one from an alternator. The solar input is up to 22VDC @ 25A, this outputs through the 20A 5 stage charging output profile and is considered the master input. The second input is from a vehicle's alternator which typically is supplying a voltage suited to the engine's management system or starting battery. Its almost never the correct charging voltage for what could be a flat house bank in the rear of the vehicle where the voltage drop over 3-5 metres could be 1 volt. This unit installed in the rear with the house batteries will ramp up the voltage to what's needed for the house battery to keep it well maintained at up to 20A, this is the slave input. By that we mean if you are in the sun the solar has priority charge of say 5A so that the engine doesn't need to work as hard to provide power for the other 15A that could be charging of the house batteries were flat.

An additional feature allows the setting of bulk charging voltages at either 14.4V or 14.7V. A wider input voltage range on the alternator side for Euro 5+ engine for ECU controlled systems.

    A wider input voltage range on the alternator input side for Euro 5+ engine for ECU controlled systems allows for forced charging of the service batteries to optimise the engine output and generate charging power.

    MPPT Solar input, alternator input with service battery charging from the solar or engine with a preference on the suns free energy. Not to mention the ability to add the SmartPass or SmartPass 120 for an additional 80A or 120A charging output.

    When you need to charge a large service battery bank or just better manage a situation where a second battery is needed. With an isolated low voltage disconnect circuit, you can ensure essential communication or navigation lights are left running while non-essential equipment is turned off to save the batteries power.

    The additional 120A of charging power means battery banks up to 1200Ah can be serviced with the addition of the D250SA solar input is also utilised to ensure maintenance charging is continued during storage or a period of non-use.
